After Leander's exit from Dubai Tennis, now all hopes are with
Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza. Let's hope for the best.

DUBAI - Fresh from his mixed-doubles title in the Australian Open with Sania Mirza, Mahesh Bhupathi will be fighting for the honours in the doubles event of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Bhupathi, the 11-time Grand Slam winner, will be partnering Mark Knowles of Bahamas. The two have been given the number two seeding by the organisers here. In the Australian Open doubles, Bhupathi and Knowles reached the final where they lost to the Bryan brothers of the US – Bob and Mike.

Bhupathi's former doubles partner Leander Paes will also be in action in Dubai. Paes, the bronze medallist of the Atlanta Olympic Games, will partner Lukas Dlouhy of the Czech Republic. Paes and Dlouhy will be the number three seeds in the championship.

Paes and his partner will begin their campaign on Monday when they take on Simone Bolelli of Italy and Ivo Karlovic of Croatia in the first round on Court One. Meanwhile, Prakash Amritraj, who lost in the qualifiers of the singles event here, has been given a wild card here in the doubles event.
