Rajalakshmi of Intelligence Bureau defeated Kanakavalli Venkataraman of Delhi Audit 25-0, 25-24 in the women’s semifinals of the inter-Ministry carrom tournament at the Nirman Bhawan hall here. In the final, Rajalakshmi will face Geeta R. Shankar of Delhi Audit who swept aside L. Jyothi of Railways.
The results: Men (third round): Mohammed Nasir bt Arvind Singh 25-0, 25-0; Sanjeev Bhatnagar bt D. N. Khattar 25-8, 25-0; Deepak Raj bt Manoj Kumar 25-0, 25-0; Rajinder bt Zahid Hussain 25-21, 22-19.
