Kokrajhar School entered into the next round of the Dilip Sharma All Asom Inter-School Cricket tournament defeating Don Bosco School, Mangaldoi, in a nail-biting match via toss. The match between the two sides ended as a tie at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday. The Kokrajhar team, who batted first, scored 160 runs for the loss nine wickets in 40 overs. Don Bosco were bowled out on the same score.
Marisha shines in NEFT tennis
Marisha Dutta clinched four titles in the All Guwahati Junior Tennis Championship which concluded at the NETF court on Sunday. Marisha, who bagged the U-14 girls title on Saturday, also collected the girl’s U-14 doubles, girl’s U-18 singles and mixed doubles title on Sunday. In the girl’s U-18 final, she defeated Rizuana Begum while in the mixed doubles, Marisha, who paired with Alok Tripathy, defeated Bikram Baruah and Pamir Gogoi to clinch the title. In the girl’s U-14 doubles final, Marisha and Manaswinee Hazarika defeated Hema Rani Basumatary and Snehankita Bora. Alok Tripathy also collected double crowns in the championship which included the mixed doubles and the singles title in the boy’s U-18 categories. THE SENTINEL
