GUWAHATI, June 10 – Ashirbad Hazarika, a student of the Assam valley School was invited to play for the Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire in UK and played in the school’s main eleven this season with a great deal of success.
According to Thomas Root, master in charge cricket and deputy headmaster of the school, Ashirbad played for a period of two months and a successful player of the school team’s pre-season tour to Sussex. The main strike bowler of the team Ashirbad has taken enough wickets to qualify for the Wisden book, which will be published in 2010, wrote Thomas Root.
