KOLKATA: Binign Lyngkhoi won the fifth edition of the Airtel Kolkata marathon here on Sunday. The Army Sports Institute (Pune) runner completed the 42.2 km stretch in 2h 21m 7s to take home the winner’s cheque for Rs. 3.20 lakh.
Last year’s winner Bhairav Singh Lone from Madhya Pradesh (2:26.49) had to be content with the runner-up spot, while Army Sports Institute (Hyderabad) runner Neeraj Pal Singh took the third position (2:27.13). The second and third place winners earned Rs. 1.60 lakh and Rs. 80,000 respectively. THE HINDU
