JORHAT, March 12 – In the low scoring final of the U-15 inter district cricket tournament for the Amarjit Sarma Trophy, Barpeta require 63 runs in their second innings to win the title.
On the first day of the two-day final three innings were completed. Batting first Margherita scored 50 and Barpeta managed to take a marginal 10-run lead. In the second knock also Margherita batsmen failed to click and were bundled out for 72.
On the final day tomorrow Barpeta team has to score only 63 runs in their second innings if they have to bag the crown.
Brief scores: Margherita 1st innings 50 (Rajah Khan 18, Manoj Pathak 7/22, Jitul Das 2/18).
Barpeta 1st innings 60 (Parthajit Das 28, Zaved Khan 4/9, Rajah Khan 3/12, M Ahmed 2/12).
